Score Does Not Reflect the True Story
Magic and their midget mentor received an early birthday present gift wrapped in the guise of incorrect refereeing. The gentlemen in white clearly outshone the brutish thugs in blue who were more adept at disguising their dastardly hi-jinks than in playing a game of soccer.
Following their thuggish behavior, a blue player mercilessly assaulted a white player who went down injured at one end of the field. Without regard for either safety or courtesy, the blue team - or more appropriately the black and blue team as they should be known - proceeded to move the ball the length of the pitch to score a goal to move ahead by one.
Despite having their stalwart captain nearly overcome with consumption, the regal men in white kept the pressure on. Perennial star David Smith scored a hat trick but the uncivilized thrashing about by the Magic was too much as they were continually abetted in their behaviour by a lack of penalty calls.
Continually confounded by the unjust situation the gallant Wolfpack were forced to play a risky offensive balance late in the game which lead to unfortunate goals by their opponents. To all unbiased observers, it was clear that had the game been played on the honor system or with better judging the outcome would have been vastly different. Unquestionably when the teams reconvene later in the season, should the officiating be more balanced, the Magic are destined for a severe drubbing from the honorable Wolfpack.
